Thankyou RiveriaMan and lapalmeraie, I've been watching all your videos on YouTube following this thread to help with the install

have opted for a bury wireless charging mount for phone for android auto rather than relying on updating sat navigation maps. mounted that wiring through dashboard so did both at same time for ease and didn't take too long just didn't want to wire up until 100% sure. Would you solder direct to the m54 or get a th08mw-nh connector and simply plug it in?

You could use posi-taps. Nissan uses them thereselves for the welcome lights for instance. It simple, quick and leaves no traces.
