I don't have that problem with my Mi cam. From roof line to camera I have only a very short cable length, maybe try shortening yours?

The fuse box isn't behind the glovebox, it's just to the left as you open the glovebox & it just has a pull off cover over it. I already had a hardwire kit from my J11 & was going to do it myself but the fuses are smaller so the hardwire kit didn't work. Rather than messing about myself I took it to Halfords & had it fitted by them & they supplied the new kit. I watched him do it & it was so simple, if I'd had the correct size fuse adaptor I'd have done it myself.

Welcome to this forum.

You're in the J12 area here - best to look at corresponding postings in the J11 area. In mine I simply plugged into the accessory socket in the glovebox - you potentially need to find the corresponding fuse but any ignition-switched one will do - I presume you're using a piggyback adaptor?.

I ordered a micro 2 fuse adaptor from Amazon (came in a pack of five) I ran this down out the of fuse box out to the side to the door rubber the earth wire to to the bolt on the door jam. And the dash cam wire carried on up the door rubber into the head linning.
Which fuse did you use to make sure it came on with the ignition?

I piggy backed onto the front power socket as recommended by McVicar. See photos he posted on page 1

Hi

I Have fitted a dashcam front and rear to my J12 and it was quite easy as above you need to get to the fusebox behind the glovebox. I removed the covers underneath, and it was then quite easy to get to everything. What I would say is try the camera in the place first as there isn't a lot of room to fit one. I had a Nextbase 522 camera and added a rear camera too - https://www.nextbase.com/en-gb/dash-cam ... -dash-cam/ and https://www.nextbase.com/en-gb/modules/ ... ow-camera/
But since buying them you now can get a "Nissan" camera for the Qashqai, but it has no screen and works via an app.

WARNING - despite being shown as a J12 fitment it's been proven to be a J11 fitment - refer other topics on this forum

Thanks for this, it's a big help, I was concerned about hardwiring my new Tekna J12 which I get next Thursday and was wondering about getting the dealership to do it. I found videos for my J11 which I used but was concerned about whether I would need to remove the glove box and if it was fitted the same in the J12. Thanks to the posters here.

Hi All , just new to the group , my J12 gets delivered on wednesday. Can anyone tell me if the issue with the J11 and J12 camera has been resolved , as been looking to buy one , but some websites show the same model for both , but as i have seen on here some have cautioned whether it will fit .
