Qashqai Model: Mk.3 Qashqai - J12 (2021+) New Model

Post by EllieZ »

Hi,
Hi all I received my new Qashqai tekna about a month ago and all was great.
Today I’ve noticed the drivers footwell is wet.
Not just a little bit but soaked.
I’m guessing something is leaking?
Is this something common with Qashqai’s? Has anyone else experienced this with a brand new car.
Many thanks!
Ellie

This is not common.

Don’t touch anything, any well meaning fiddling could affect your warranty
Go to your dealer as soon as physically possible

Thank you! I will do. I only tried drying it out with towels and a hairdryer as I needed to use the car today but will take it to them to look at.
I wondered if it was a leaking pipe or something like that and if it was a common fault with these cars?

Hi

I've never heard anyone mention a similar issue so certainly not common.

Let us know how you get on.

It’s definitely a fault with the car as it’s happened again. The passengers side footwell is soaked.
I’ve book it in for repairs but they only have availability next week to see the car. 😞
I dread to think what damage the water will do till then.

Doesn't matter Elliez they will have to fix and renew all. When you tried to soak it up was it water or coloured like radiator coolant? Could be heater matrix leak or a pipe come off.

Turns out it was a pipe/tube from the aircon had come away causing the leak!
