That's the Android problem... being more free to do with our phones what we want, but otherwise Apple iPhones are far superior in most mundane tasks. Especially Apple Carplay is better, according to my son who regularly swaps between iOS and Android phones (company phones) .
Problem is when, like me, people invested in an app system... Not easy to then migrate without buying everything again!?

Hi, please let us know if it works for you. I've read in this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/aawi ... t-84729789 that there might be a compatibility issue with J11. I hope it works for you so I can grab mine as well.

I read on indiegogo that there were indeed problems with some Nissan headunits but that a firmware upgrade would/could solve it.
I will receive my AAWireless unit in Oktober (I hope) and will report back then !

Good to know. Another thing that I also noticed is that at least for me the USB unit continues to provide power after the engine is switched off. More specifically, I connected my phone and it keeps charging even if I switch off the engine, get out of the car and lock it. I don't know if it stops the power after several minutes but it does not do after 1-2 minutes for sure. So, I wonder if this is going to be a problem in case you leave the AAWireless connected for a few weeks without starting the car.

The battery might indeed drain if AAWireless keeps running the AAWireless software !
But it in fact needs to keep on running because otherwise it has to boot the (Linux OS and-) software each and every time we connect the dongle.
I also wonder if we keep the dongle plugged in Winter/Summer (hot/freezing conditions) whether this is still within operating temperatures.
AAWireless can *never* be the best solution ... only proper built-in Android Wireless headunit support can work fine.
IMHO this will always be ... let's hope it will work fine ... today !

I've seen some reviews in which they mention that it needs from 20-30 seconds for a full boot up and connection with the vehicle. Which I think is ok.

I wonder whether people simply leave the AAWireless dongle plugged in all the time (in USB port) and/or whether unplugging/re-booting the device would not be more adviseable !???
