Hi i have purchased a quasqai Tekna with a roof liner for the panaromic roof not working. It is stuck on the open position.

Anyone have any ideas as to the cause?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum.
This has been mentioned on here before.
I can't recall how it was resolved.
Hopefully, someone will be along soon who either remembers or has a link to the threads about the blind not functioning correctly.

If you have a few spare minutes the search function is excellent, although in this case getting the search terms will be key

There are 3 safety devices related to the sunshade system:

10A general signal fuse
50A motor fuse
A circuit breaker

I assume the circuit breaker is used to control the motor when in Auto Open/Close modes.

Apart from any mechanical problem the system needs an auto electrician to check the integrity of those devices + wiring..

Welcome to this forum.

Whilst I recognise you've got a problem, I found I very rarely closed the blind - because if I did the car felt dark inside. In my 2+ years of ownership I probably only closed it maybe half-a-dozen times.

Good Point Gloucester.
I certainly keep mine open in the winter due to previous reports of condensation occurring on the panoramic roof glass.

I posted some comments recently for Winter Tips. When we got our first QQ 2014 the Dealer recommended keeping the Panoramic Roof Open as mentioned. I also started using these De-Humidifier Packs (see below) and it is even now amazing what is floating around in the QQ regarding moisture - Just a Tip Dave 🤨

10. Remove the Fabric Carpets and install Rubber Mats, recommended are the High Sided Versions (Nissan or WeatherTech – can be expensive !) as they retain the Snow / Sludge etc. I always place old Newspapers underneath them just in case the wet stuff is excessive but change them often.
Rubber Mats can also be used under the Front Wheels as a Starter Helper if stuck in Snow.
Our Nissan Dealer also recommends leaving the Panoramic Roof Sliding Cover “Open” as this allows the air to get to the glass and prevents any condensation or mould forming behind the cover when closed.

11. I also place from Henkel / Lidl W5 Dehumidifier Packs under the Seats as these tend to attract any moisture.

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had any further details on this - specifically, which fuses control the panoramic roof blind?

Cheers

James
