Hi,

My brake lights have suddenly started to be stuck on, they are very faint. If i start the car and use it the break pedal is working fine and the brake lights come on much brighter.

Any ideas? Its 2013 +2 1.6dci Tekna

This is what it looks like, engine off, ignition off and car locked. Occasionally they will flicker:

Thanks

I'd say thats an earth leak. Usually the wiring in the car is providing a path to earth (negative) which is not the normal path to the stop lights. Can happen where moisture or water has entered a plug and which carries the wires to the stop lights.

Its dim or flickering because the path resistance is not as low as the normal path and changes somewhat due to the water condition over time.

Happened to my J10, give the bulbs terminals themselves a clean up.
