Wireless mobile charging

Hi just got my new tekna, mobile charging pad not charging very well. Soon as I put phone on it flashes orange for about 5 seconds the goes off. About 10mins later it comes back on for 5 seconds again. Faulty?

Is your phone in a case ?
I had this trouble and it was 100% the case as my iPhone charged perfectly (albeit slowly) without the case.

I have tried without the case makes no difference, flashes orange fior a few seconds goes off. Never has been solid green.

Green only comes on when the phone is fully charged

Used mine today for about 3 hours, stayed orange/yellow
Never seen it green

The status light does turn green when fully charged, wireless charging by it's nature is a lot slower than wired charging.

Of interest, I gave a friend a lift this morning and he put his phone down on the charging pad. The light flashed a few times and stopped. I checked and his phone does not support wireless charging, so no surprise that nothing happened but the flashing light rang a bell with me.

I’m assuming that this is not your problem but recording this, in case a member reads this thread in future.

My Google Pixel 8 charges ok in my new Tekna, but it does make the phone very, very hot. I'm a bit cautious over whether to use it, tbh.

Try cleaning the charging area and making sure your phone case isn't too thick or made of a material that could be interfering with the connection. If it doesn't help, buy a more suitable phone case which wouldn't be so thick. You can check out some good cases here.
