I am desperately seeking information as the car is central our lives.
I own a Nissan Qashqai Automatic 2012 Accenta 1.6 petrol and I am based in UK. It did only 55 K miles so far and has lot to offer.
I have been having sleepless nights with this car as I strongly believe its minor issue but the mechanic hasn’t been that great and I am saving for a home and hence trying to get this car fixed and it has already costed me £1500 with no solution.

Please approach this issue from a fuel perspective or electrical fault.
Mechanics couldn’t find the issue even after many fixes. My car has been cutting out on power while driving, that is the car stops totally without any power specially as I approach traffic signals. It will take a while for the car to turn on and drive and starts to do the same after a while. My gut confidence is .. issue is something with the way fuel is delivered or an electrical fault.

Mechanic has replaced
1) Crank shaft sensor,
2) Replaced spark plugs,
3) Replaced Air mass sensor due to P011016 error code and
4) Replaced Throttle body.
5) On top of it verified the fuel tank and cleaned the fuel in the tank filter.

Nothing helped, the car continued to give the issue.
After this a Bosch Fuel pump is fitted. It looked very promising without any issue for first 3 weeks and the car cutting out on power specially at traffic signals has returned back and it wont start immediately. It takes a while after many reattempts to start and I get back home some how.
Let me know what could be the issue.

..

Problems such as this are related to dynamic performance. Usually its testing cars that are static...stationary in a garage. OK most of that works.

For more awkward situations such as yours there is test equipment available to such garages that monitor many systems in the car while the vehicle is moving. This is the kind of testing you need as it will show any abrupt/disruptive changes in (say) fuel/air/exhaust and electrical functions.

It is part of whats called On Board Diagnostics (OBD)..ask your garage or find one that understands what I said above.

Hello,

I know your post was 2 years ago but I actually need your help.

Did you manage to sort your car out? If so, could you be so kind so as to share what the real fault was and the outcome? I'm currently having the same issue with my Qashqai 2016 petrol.

I noticed the power going off while driving usually happens after the car has been parked for hours or overnight. I just put the gear on P and I turn the ignition. It would work again and may still happen on the same trip until it eventually stops happening and drives smoothly for the rest of the trip.

My mechanic used his diagnostic kit to diagnose camshaft solenoid sensor B1 when a light finally showed up on the dashboard and I quickly drove it up to him for him to see himself. Prior to then, he has ran diagnostics and driven the car around and couldn't find a single fault.

After the camshaft solenoid was changed, it worked for close to 2 days, then problem is back again. I'm sick of this because it's accident waiting to happen on the road. It usually happens when you are breaking at traffic lights or roundabouts.

Please I need help. Went to another mechanic, but no fault found.

Air in fuel line if fuel filter has been replaced. Check your batt terminals too to make sure there not loose

Hope this will be helpfull, it took the mechanics a few months to find the fix with my Qashqai - there is this part of the fuel tank just under the back seats, like a separate tank connected to the main one, it is made of plastic of poor quality, it was just a little bit cracked, like with tiny tiny line, dont know if you could even call it cracked. When I replaced it the problem was gone forever. It turns out it was sucking the air in causing all the problems. I apologize for not knowing how to explain it better, English is not my mother language..good luck:)
