OK - always useful to have more information!
I have a Nextbase 512GW and I believe the internal battery on those fails. Certainly mine (hardwired into an ignition switched feed) reports "Low Battery" when I switch the ignition off.
The problem people have reported in the past when wiring a dashcam into a live feed is it then running down the main car battery and, sometimes, triggering the alarm as a consequence. What about trying the interior light one?
Someone else recently thought of using a powerpack instead to run the camera when the car was switched off, albeit that of course needs plugs changing over - someone more experienced in electronics might be able to formulate a "hard wire kit" to incorporate one permanently into the system?
Thanks.
Their own hardwiring kit helps with built in voltage limiter. Not had a car battery issue *touch wood*
Might look into getting capacitor dash cam. God knows why Nextbase are still using lithium batteries.

Here's a silent video showing you how to access a 312GW battery - though curiously they don't show it being actually changed. The leads require soldering.
Another one on the similar 212GW - I've only skipped through this one but he does actually replace the battery!

Thanks Bud. I contacted them today re battery replacement as my 522 GW is showing some signs of battery failing.
£10 for self service and £31 if i send in for repair.
They emailed me instructions on how to replace the battery which are identical to your vidoes.
