It started this week whenever it is at 1st gear the parking sensors get activated and start beeping. It is very annoying when I have to stop at the traffic light or queue as the alarm triggered by car in front. Anyone had this issue and know how to fix it?

Welcome to the forum

First option is to clean all your sensors.

After that, not sure

Welcome to this forum.

Not a problem anyone's reported previously as far as I know.

The only gear related initiation of parking sensors is via the gear stick switch. And thats for reverse gear. Can't imagine why 1st gear does it though?

Had this happen a few times so just put it in neutral then cleaned the sensors when I got home.

Had this happen too, mainly when approaching a stationary car in front at roundabouts or traffic lights, just put it down to the weird QQ traits.
I did have a constant beeping whilst in any forward gear, this was after travelling back home through torrential downpours and flooding a few months back, had to disable the front sensor volume until it sorted itself out, also lost the forward collision radar too? Seems like the sensors do not like rain.

Hi had same problem with constant parking sensor beeping for no reason looked online found this

“The issue, apparently, was a known problem stemming from a front sensor that fills with water. It’s alleviated by simply draining the water off then leaving the channel for subsequent water to drain through. It doesn’t affect all Qashqais, I’m told, but for the ones it does it’s an easy fix “ The guy stated that Nissan used this fix to sort the beeping sensor problem out

Can anyone explain what they mean by “leaving the channel for subsequent water to drain through” as I’m a little bit confused - must be a Monday morning thing!

Try cleaning the sensors, I get this when they are dirty, a good clean usually sorts them out.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? It's now happening to me after driving in some very wet weather.

Thanks folks - experienced this today, after a period of driving in heavy rain. Sensor on FOS activated whenever we were at slow speed or stationary, driving us literally round the bend!!
After reading these posts, I checked it was clean, which it was but thereafter dried it with a micro fibre cloth and rubbed it with a dry section to remove any remaining moisture, including some focus on the surrounding 'rubber' ring, where I suspect the water ingresses.
The result - all working again.....
As an aside the sensors can be switched off through the dash settings and driving aids menus, which had I remembered, may have saved me some excessive exposure to the alarm, or more importantly, allowed the rest of the sensors to do their job and the alarm raise my awareness to a real risk/hazard.
