What are you guys with a petrol QQ getting as an average MPG?
Our last QQ ( 2007 1.6 petrol, manual) averaged around 46 MPG. The new 1.2 manual is averaging 56 MPG with a best consumption showing on the display as 68.6 MPG

I'm not one of those hyper milers that sits behind HGV's, I mainly drive a mixture of A and B roads, town and country lanes, no spirited driving but no means driving like an OAP either.
I'm really impressed with how little I regularly have to top up the tank.

My Qashqai 1.2 averaged 34.2mpg during my ownership over 10,299 miles.

Only once during that period did I get a figure over 40mpg when topping up - and that was 41.7mpg on a fairly gentle trip to Heathrow.

Three times it was less than 30mpg when topped up, the lowest being 27.1mpg.

Unlike previous cars and unlike my present car the onboard computer display was pretty accurate with just a -0.4mpg error in the reading.

I don't drive aggressively but do do quite a few short journeys around town - and of course with start/stop hardly ever working that didn't help either.

My 1.3 DCT according to the onboard computer has an average of 42 mpg, best 52.2 and recent trip to Scotland at motorway speeds of 49.7 mpg.
I am very satisfied with these results.

These figures are quite simply astonishing for a 1.2 petrol Qashqai and I would wager that they are quite simply unbeatable.

I think tyre choice may also be a factor, especially in my case. Had four Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres fitted a few weeks ago, had these fitted to the previous QQ too, excellent tyre especially in the wet but it seems that they indeed eek out the extra mpg too.

My new 1.3 automatic, today on a 10 mile trip around town for 3 miles hilly in places with stops and starts and the rest in a fairly good flowing 50 mph zone, with air con on, gave me 36 mpg.
I get amazed by some figures people are getting, you must be getting a tow..... 68 mpg from a petrol.
My mates 3 year old frugal diesel qashqai isn't getting that !!!!!!!

Hang on to that one squashy2 if I was you.

I imagine most of these figures are from manual models.

Me :
1.2 petrol 41mpg
1.5 diesel 54mpg
1.3 petrol 140ps 48mpg and I drive quite hard
