I was quoted £377 for a year - admittedly over two years ago - and that was higher than others had been quoting. Perhaps Nissan have woken up to people claiming and hiked the price!

It should be covered according to https://www.nissan.co.uk/ownership/niss ... ranty.htmlparis shuttle airport transfers but the only way you'll know for certain is getting the "small print" and reading through it.

Ultimate

I think the default on the ECO mode is set to off on startup unlike the 2015 model which was set to on as default.
Also, this morning I noticed that even if the climate control is left on when stopping the engine it is turned off when restarting. Unless I am doing something wrong. On the 2015 model it was the opposite.
It would always come on when starting the car without switching manually.
Perhaps someone with a 2019/2020 model could check this for me.

The manuals supplied with the car are identical to the 2015 model. Thats both car manual and Nissan Connect manual which seems strange to me as the infotainment system is quite a bit different.

This has nothing to do with the QQ. I was at our Nissan Dealers looking around a Navara Pickup Truck (ideal for Lidl) and noticed this stuck on its Rear. I must admit I did not know that Nissan Light Commercial Vehicles have a different Guarantee - Dave 🤨:

This isn’t my experience.
I (almost) never turned my air con / climate control off (possibly for a very short local journey when it’s hot).
The climate control and air con are on when I turn the engine off and comes straight back on when I restart.

Thanks for the replies. And now for a grovelling apology from me. This morning I checked and the climate control does stay on when the car is restarted. I have no idea why I thought it was different. Lets just put it down to old age.

However, I was correct about the ECO button. On starting the car it is alway off no matter how it was left which is different to my old Qashqai but I can live with it.

Many thanks for all the posts.

I phoned Evans Halshaw Sunderland this morning asking for a quote on an extended Qashqai warranty. Rules say I am too late to apply as 3 Yr warranty expires on 30th April and I needed to give them at least a month's notice.
No-one from Nissan or Evans Halshaw gave me any information at all on extending the warranty. I can't help feeling that the service offered by the company and the main dealer is less than exemplary....or is it my fault for hanging around so long?
Anyway, can anyone suggest a non Nissan alternative to cover for the notorious 1.2 engine faults and the possible CVT difficulties?
Thanks

@calmac.
It would suprise me if that 'extended Qashqai warranty' would cover failures that Nissan (or any other company for that matter) knows have a high probabily of occuring anyway.
Nissan, Toyota ... or insurance companies most probably have detailed statistics of what may happen most often in say, 5 years time, to their car models.
If they are a bit business-minded they would strip those faults from the extended warranty;
I, personally, don't know yet what I will do when I need to make that decision about extra insurance, but if you did not take it by now I guess your cars has not been a lemon.
So if nothing terrible happened to your car until now ... it will probably not happen soon !?

Thanks Qaifan. I've been very slow to make a decision but this morning went on to purchase an RAC extended warranty.
I live in the Sunderland area and being doom merchants is in our nature...look at what the football club has achieved lately. If something can go wrong it will go wrong! So we'll try to cover for possible problems. I hope you are right though!
