Hi all,

Does any one know if there's a replacement glass for connect entertainment unit.
The lcd is fine just the touch screen cracked, can this be replaced? Or the lcd and glass like the iPhone screen replacement?
Tia

Tia, welcome to the Forum ! This might not be the answer you are after but it might be worth considering. I dropped my iPad a couple of years back in Florida and cracked the screen, so I bought a replacement Glass Screen from Best Buy and it is still attached and functioning. My crack was on the side of the main screen but if you can live with possibly seeing the crack it could be the cheapest option providing the size is correct - just an idea Dave 😊

Welcome to this forum.

No one's reported replacing a cracked screen before. I can't recall anyone having a cracked screen.

You state elsewhere you have a "20 plate n connector petrol 1.3". Did you break the screen? Have you tried a warranty claim?

Don't believe there is any service replaceable parts for that thing. Certainly isn't for earlier models. Complete unit and thus a dealer job.

Going to go to nissan, how it happened was the brake assist kicked in for a split second, not sure if it was the low sun directly in front of me or approaching a roundabout but it kicked in, my partner put her hands out as the sudden brake and her palm of right hand hit the screen, so I'm suspecting a issue with brake assist

Might have to be an insurance claim then.

I think you'll have problems convincing your dealer of that - unless you have dashcam evidence.

Hi, I’ve not been on this forum very long but an give you a possible option to look at I have found an android unit which replaces the connect unit. I am planning on replacing the 2018 Tekna head unit with this .

https://www.belsee.com/belsee-aftermark ... -2017.html

I’ve already tried the Dasaita replacement but ended up junking it had lots of different issues with it and gave up so I’ve saved up my pennies and will have go with this. They have assured me it works with both the Bose system and the 360 camera. Just a thought as I would imagine replacing the screen is very expensive. The screen front comes off quiet easy on the connect unit there’s only 4 screws hold it together if you could get a scrap on with working screen you could replace it like that.

Could you please elaborate on the issues you had with the Dasaita infotainment? Also, which model did you have? I'm thinking of replacing the original Connect as its screen is horrible and I find it no so user-friendly.
