You can still disable the keyless entry system, if needs be?

And you still have options for the wing mirrors and alarm system:

@Sandgrounder : congratulation on ordering the Tekna !!!
That sounds real good !

"I had assurance that Apple and also Android devices should show their navigation details in the HUD but I wasn’t able to verify that claim."
That sounds a bit ... too good to be true in fact ... and I hope you have that "on paper" :-)

I got the information that this might not be possible from 3 sources : my own dealer "didn't think so", another dealer, in the Netherlands (Aben), wrote he tested it and it did not work, and a YouTube car test drive / review(er) also claimed this was only
possible with TomTom ... but of course I do hope your dealer is right that sure is music to my ears (I would love to have that feature ... Waze on the HUD) !

Good luck with a quick delivery as well.

Hopefully my QQ will be delivered to the garage/dealership on the 27th August and I can collect on 1st September (date new registration plates issued - 71 instead of 21). Then I should be able to try out Apple CarPlay navigation with the HUD before you collect your Qashqai? 🤔

@Sandgrounder. BTW, I forgot to thank you for asking about Carplay and AA support.
I couldn't test it at the time since the Demo car was supposedly not yet ready for Android Auto.
I should get my car quite a bit sooner as I pre-ordered the car way before orders were even open I guess !
May come as soon as July.
This is one of the things I will check.
Will report my impressions as soon as I get the car.
Thanks Sandgrounder.

Also, I tried the horn. Not quite as feeble as the current version!

The steering wheel vibrates if you veer over the lines in the middle of the road, instead of beeping.

Wasn’t as keen on the location of the central air vents - a bit too low down for my liking. Handy if you want to keep your knees cool in the summer I guess?

That's an unfortunately change. I have the "vibrate" mode on my Ignis and it was turned off within a day of buying the car - fortunately you can permanently disable it. It might be fine having it on on a motorway but around town it was going off all the time!

If you’re considering the Tekna+ model, I believe there is less headroom for people over 6 foot. Only by chance, I was watching another YouTube video from AutoTrader. The presenter is 5’11” and he said he didn’t have much space above his head - only about 3” spare (3 mins 50 secs in).

I have looked at the Nissan website and found some measurements for when the rear seats are lowered to the roof. As you will see, there is less space on the Tekna+ compared with the Tekna and Premiere models. Maybe this has something to do with the multi-link suspension on the Tekna+ as opposed to the MacPherson strut set-up? Or the BOSE system? 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

Hello @QaiFan. I have watched the Parkers Cars video on YouTube. At about 7 mins in, the presenter explains that the in-built sat nav (TomTom?) shows the direction information in the HUD. It would therefore appear that the dealers you have spoke to are correct that only the TomTom information will be shown?
