Hi,
I bought my car in March 2020 and since then had had foxes chew through the cables 4 times, most recently including the brake cable which almost caused an accident.
I have tried everything and had avoided parking at the house to try and prevent the problem and have constructed something to go under the car.
I am now at the point of thinking I have no option but to get rid of the car.
I contacted Nissan who just said not their problem, I asked if they have thought of any casing or other measures they could take to help customers.
Local dealer much more helpful (I am SE London and it seems to be an issue here with foxes) and given some ideas.
None of my neighbors cars are affected and this seems to be a problem with this brand of car, had a Note before and no issues ever.
It’s expensive, stressful and dangerous and disappointing Nissan as a company will not even consider ways to help but atleast local technicians are empathetic enough to try and help find solutions.
From reading these posts I am thinking getting rid of the car sadly is going to be the only solution.

I have a property in SE London (Eltham) and it is the case that a number of residents foolishly leave food out in their gardens. I've seen it and my mother did it. My son lives there and he leaves his car in the garage....it being a big Mercedes.

Brake Cable...where in particular

I don't see that Nissan has a particular problem with cables/pipes under the car...as regards flavour or similar? Can't imagine they are different to other manufacturers stuff.

Truly is weird.

It looks like you have a Marder problem, take a look at the previous posts on this but using “Search” there are ways and means of overcoming this problem like Electric Shock Setups / Nets / Armored Cables etc. our Dealer out here actually has these electrical kits on show - Dave 🤨

As mentioned above here is the Kit our Nissan Dealer Offers in Germany, but it is not Berlin City it is more of a Village Area.
This is purely for information in German Language to indicate what you get - Dave 😉
