5 Speed to 6 speed QQ petrol j10
@gloucester, I am trying this just to make it a little less noisey. Speed limit in Serbia is 130Km/h (80mph) and at that speed it is making 4000+ rpm. It is a little bit loud so that i cant have a normal conversation with a passenger on the back seat. But on the back seat they dont have that problem. That is the only reason.

OK - I see. If you didn't change the final drive ratio your 80mph with the six speed box would be equivalent to about 69mph in the five speed according to a rough calculation.
I don't know what the implications/possibilities would be to change the final drive ratio.
Bear in mind that noise levels include not only the engine but also tyre noise and wind noise. The wide tyres on mine were noisier on the original Michelins than on the Dunlops I replaced them with. So if you're low on tread depth check out tyres with a better noise rating.

The HR16DE and MR20DE have different bell housing patterns and starter location. You could make a sandwich plate but you may still run into trouble with the drive shafts likely being different lengths. The other dilemma is electronics. The PCM would need flashing or replacement, possibly the BCM too.
Very costly exercise for very little gain. It would be easier to find a MR20 with a 6 speed matted. Although if I was thinking about engine swaps then I'd be looking at MR16DDT used in later Juke's and X-trail's but you would still face a lot of issues with the electrical side of things.

Hi,
I'm thinking to do 6speed swap also. I'm has been working with Nissan for 6yrs . i think correct way to do it is to use DACIA Duster 6speed manual gear box from 1.6 petrol and Nissan 1.5dci gear lever.
