Hi,

Has anyone changed one of these. I am having some issues with my alarm (seems like a comms/fault) and I did read they have a rechargeable battery inside.

a. Isi t possible to change the battery
b. is it possible to change the siren control unit (I did see a tech manual that said it then needed initialisation with CONSULT software- that I dont have)
c. Is it possible to disconnect the alarm siren unit from the BCM and run neatly with no alarm ? You gotta be desperate to nick my 10 year old QQ :) plus no one blinks when the alarm goes off anyway !!!

cheers

Tim

Having looked on eBay for what it looks like, it appears that on the J10 the control unit is part of the siren module? I couldn't find an independent unit, unlike those for the J11.

No diagram available so can't locate. If it sounds off try and track it down.

If you find it disconnect the connector. That might cause a NATS (Security/Alarm) error though..maybe not?

I have a 2010 Qashqai and I need to disconnect the alarm siren. Does anyone know how I can do this to prevent the alarm going off randomly, intermittently for abt an hour at a time?
TIA
