Hi all, new to QQ ownership. Just bought a 2011 ‘pure drive DCi. I’m coming from a 2007 Toyota Avensis estate D4-D which averaged around 50mpg and the QQ is averaging 42-43mpg. Is this around normal or low in your experience?

Welcome to this forum.

Perhaps you've not been doing long journeys recently and hence consumption has gone up somewhat?

I only have experience with my 1.2 petrol and that averaged 34mpg while I had it. Much less than the "official" figures.

everything depends on temperature , miles on the engine , driving style etc.
I had a J11 with the 1.5 Diesel , and I returned a comfortable 54mpg on the motorway - much more around town with gentle driving

On one long foggy run to Norfolk a few winters ago in my 1.5dci, I didn’t get above 50mph all the way and got approximately 69 mpg (I recall being miffed that I didn’t achieve 70) - this was fuel tank brimmed to the top of the filler nozzle before and after, so fairly accurate.

On a normal commute to work (40 miles) I would get very high 50s to mid 60s mpg (motorway and fast A roads) depending on how gently (or not) I drove and traffic density.

Day-to-day around town I would have seen very high 40s to mid 50s mpg.

In my new car I’m lucky to get into the mid 50s mpg on a run to Cornwall.

I drive the J11 1.6 diesel and on a run today on B roads did about 50 miles or so at 57mpg, I have had as high as 61mpg, but today was cold weather.

I’ve has my qashqai for about 6 weeks now and feel like it’s been to the filling station an awful lot of times.
Average about 33/35
1.3 petrol automatic 3k on clock and 12 months old
Nice to drive though apart from the clunky gear selector

This has been my best to date and don't think I'll better it.

Looking forward to seeing how it fares now there are a few miles on the clock ( 4100 miles ) still seems to be averaging about 65mpg on the run to work, about 15 miles there and back on A roads and Motorway.
