Two years ago my DPF completely failed. It had become clogged and I had to buy a new DPF and various other bits to a cost of over £3500. Well it's a CVT gearbox so doesn't actually have gears. The software creates virtual gears.

It was so easy in the olden days. My Citroen XM had an oil level gauge on the dashboard that gave a reading every time the ignition was turned on. All my recent motorbikes have had a glass port on the side which makes it SO easy to check the level.

It's crucial to maintain a warranty that will cover it.
Oil levels should really be checked weekly - monthly at the extreme. Leaving it entirely to the dealer is a recipe for disaster.
