Re: To sell or keep on going?!
I have no idea what you would get for a 6 year old car in the UK, but in my country selling it at that age is not really a good idea. Even £500 is, IMHO, nothing is you would compare it to the immense financial loss by selling the car at that age. £500 in fact means you would get another 44k miles ....

Re: IMO Car Wash Thoughts?
malvern_man ... washing a car seems to be a hobby of yours ! I do FULLY agree that a (normal) carwash is a horror scenario for most cars. I used a carwash for my previous car (after 5 so years) and at the age of 13 or so the number of small scratches had become ... countless ! Those brushes were sur...

Re: Calling all new Qashqai Tekna Plus owners- I need your help!!
" ... It's like 2 sec and it happens whenever you let the revs going very low. ..." Indeed, that is where the Turbo won't assist. Even the 156 BHP/1332 engine may not be able to swiftly accelerate a heavy car like the 6MT QQ without turbo / MHEV battery assist. Maybe all this is 'normal' b...

Re: Calling all new Qashqai Tekna Plus owners- I need your help!!
joudoire I think I have the exact same type of QQ you have... Tekna+, 156 BHP manual. Until today, having the car for 11 month, I am very satisfied with mine. The lower gear problem ... this is no E-power QQ and the turbo only starts at around 1800 rpm so if you don't put your QQ in Sportsmode and d...

Re: J12 fuel economy
Sandgrounder, once i n a while I get results like that too.
Those MPG are plain bogus ... a CPU or tank glitch or similar.
No way an MHEV QQ (like mine) can get +70 MPG en a 1 mile trip !

Re: Real e-Power test drive
fully agreed with that hootintootin ! But even if we are allowed to have test-drives of, say, 100 miles, even then is it impossible to have a good idea about this potential(!!!???0 power delivery issue and consumption in several ways/environments while driving. But yes, many people are indeed biased...

" ... but remeber that this system was originally developed for driving in Japanese cities..." Indeed. Now in my case that use case would be quite OK. But that is also why I question whether the re-power QQ would also be equally beneficial for covering great distances each and every day !?...
