I could only think of noises as likely AirCon stuff. Certainly a noisy Evaporator or perhaps fan control?

I have a suspicion that the dealer(s) can't correct these headunits...similar to what went before it (Connecta 2 & 3). Rather like a mobile phone, if a factory reset or firmware update don't fix it...it dies right there.

Be interesting to know the outcome...new headunit?

Whether that's a gearing auto selection or engine problem is very difficult to say.

Generally that kind of thing needs a reboot (Factory Reset). Doing so looses personal settings but could clear a system hangup?

After that you may need to know if an update truly exists and what version it is. Also, what is your current version?
