Re: No Engine Management Light

Thankyou. The garage took the dash off and checked the wires and lights and said it still did not work. Is an ECU (once the correct one is found) an easy repair / replacement? Its the prime controller (electronic control) of the engine which will need specialist attention. Most likely a Nissan job

Re: No Engine Management Light

The MIL indicator (Check Engine) is switched by the ECU. So its a problem there or in the related wiring or the light itself.

Prior to Start engine all indicator warning lights are displayed..as sort of default test.

I just received a Stop Start System Fault - O2 Sensor Error..SOLVED

TBH with my car at 15.5Kmiles and vintage 2017 I didn't expect this event. So I get the SS System Error and orange EML....and that alone. Benefit No 1. Stop/Start now fails to operate and leaves me in peace..... Car appears to run normally with less complication. 1st Observation: (Day 1) Stop/...

Re: Auto stop start

There are approx 30 conditions that the ECU logically decides upon to initiate a stop/start sequence. Meaning when ready to stop or start (restart) the engine. What you seem to suffer is the ECU deciding to stop the engine and is immediately countered during the time the engine is still firing...or ...

Re: Hybrid fault

Thanks for your reply. Peeved is probably an understatement! I’m not sure about MOT but I’m even more annoyed if they should have been giving us a replacement all this time! ... The UKGOV MOT list doesn't include the delightful S/S device and IMO we are better off without it. Unnecessary cost and a...

Re: Hybrid fault

I could be wrong but is a Stop/Start fault an MOT failure? If so they need to change the car till its fixed.

Despite that I would be mighty peeved to be driving around waiting for a fix in a very unreliable NEW car.

Their support obligations are very poor

Re: Air Con Yearly Regas Needed

I believe that my condenser fault too lies with the weld, without inspecting it myself I cannot confirm whether it's a manufacturing defect or a weld that has failed due to use? If this is something that can happen, not being a welder or over technically minded I cannot believe that a weld could po...

Re: Air Con Yearly Regas Needed

Vintage 2017 was the height of the defective condensers installed at production. I used a mobile aircon fitter who was very aware of this QQ problem. He didn't hesitate in removing the condenser for a physical check. Mainly edge weld faults. Re-install wasn't a defective Nissan condenser which bothe...

Re: Cruise Control

Failure of CC to engage is symptomatic of an engine control fault. Hence the engine fault lamp you see. It'll need an examination of any error codes (DTCs) to identify more specifically.

Can we assume this is a diesel engine?
