My old qashqai used to do the same and my sisters has recently done it too.

She had to have the battery replaced, the dpf filter and it re generated. It’s has since been working fine

Yeah, tbh it looked black but it’s only when you see the image like that of a before and after it doesn’t.

Both people who have commented have stuck with a qashqai so I’d say you’ve made the better choice

I also didn’t test drive it as I knew it was the one I wanted regardless haha!
