Re: Dash cam

I note you're a J12 owner, but decided to post incase any J11 owners are thinking the same about a dash cam. I purchased an AUKEY DR02 1080p front and rear camera kit from EBay last year. Cost me just over £100 delivered. I knew nothing about dash cams and decided to give it a go, took around three ...

Re: clutch failure

Clutches can wear due to mechanical faults or just by the way that they or the car has been used by both an original owner or new owners of a second hand car. However, you expect this from a car with a few more years and many more miles under its belt. I'm probably not alone on this next statement, ...

Re: My J12 is Dead

I would contact Nissan GB (Europe) and raise the case with them, I would hopefully assume that with the car being virtually new, low mileage etc and obviously an extremely unusual fault, this should indeed be a case of the loan or a like for like courtesy car for the entire time that your car is wit...

Re: parking sensor activating

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it. My parking sensors and crash avoidance system always play silly games around this time of year, dirty roads, water and the sun being quite low. The sensors run fine all year until winter when the "Nissan Gremlins" appear. However if your senso...

Re: Mk3 Airbag Light

Whilst I was curing an annoying rattle from the glove box I inadvertently disconnected the passenger airbag switch whilst the key was in the ignition, not running but turned to the first click, and after everything was put back together I had the air bag warning light, duh! Took it to my Dealership ...

Re: Issue with Airco/heater blowers

Sounds to me like it's the usual heater/blower matrix failure. Lots of information on the Forum about this wee bugger, hopefully you're still under a Warranty? Long waiting time for the part from Nissan but you can get hold of them via other sources and relatively easy to install but a wee bit fiddly.

Re: Tailgate alignment

Had a similar situation with a new Jeep Patriot back in 09. All four doors where out of alignment, one so bad you really had to slam it shut to lock. The fix was for the dealership to loosen the hinge bolts and realign the doors, when I picked it up after the work it was perfect. They even left the ...

Re: Wheel Bearing??

Try swapping your wheels front to back and vice versa. I had a rhythmic humming sound which was more noticeable at motor way speeds. Car less than three years old and around 20k miles, I couldn't believe that it was another failing bearing (I had both sides replaced on the previous J10) I thought th...

Re: Brand new car faults

Above all, Hold your nerve, keep calm, produce as much information as possible, and he realistic with what you expect from the dealership. And btw, this also applies to a non Nissan Dealership purchase, if you have a problem with your purchase even from an Arthur Daley Back street garage you're cove...
