Re: Cvt problem?

That is how they work, in a CVT box you only really have one gear and the cones operate to make that gear higher or lower ratio. When you engage cruise control, the engine is trying to run as efficiently as possible and any slight deviations in the road surface will raise and lower you rpm. It becom...

Re: Can't start car

I am surprised that you could not tell if the boot was not shut properly, I thought Qashqai's had a boot/door open warning, my 2014 does.

Re: Nissan reducing Spec?

I would have thought that it quite likely that all European manufacturers would be thinking of reducing the spec of cars destined for the UK. As seems likely with a no deal Brexit there will be tariffs and probably a sizeable reduction in the UK exchange rate. If they want to sell cars then reducin...

Re: Nissan reducing Spec?

Interestingly, I am also on the Mercedes Benz forum and the UK spec for Mercedes has also been drastically reduced, much to the anger of members who are looking to buy a new car. So I guess it's not just Nissan.

Re: Engine warning light with new parts

I’m afraid I don’t have a diagnostic reader. That may be a problem for you..the new MAF could be defective? Re: Knocking noise

Check the drive shaft rubber boots, if they are split, it could be dirt getting into the joint.

Re: J11 Universal Bypass Relay wiring 7pin towbar

When I had my tow bar fitted, the wiring was behind the panel on the left hand side of the boot as viewed from the rear of the car. I must say I did not do it myself, I watched a fitter carry out the works, I had a 13 pin socket installed, but I am sure that was the only interior panel removed. I di...

Re: DASHBOARD GLARE

The problem is not the dashboard, it's the reflection in the windscreen. As far as I know, the only way to stop this is with an anti reflective coating on the screen. You need to stop the reflection in the screen not dull down the dash. There are sprays on the market for doing this. It's the same as...
