Basis I haven't looked in the book buy I don't think that the blue triple fuse you've ringed will be the electric window fuse. Have a look in the handbook.

First check the fuse. If ok try taking power lead off battery then put it back after a minute see if it resets.

I wonder what happens to all the old stock thermostats, do they scrap them all or still sell them from stock? I mean if I went to buy one tomorrow how would I know if I was getting an upgraded one or an old stock item?

On ebay I typed in the part no. The only one didn't come up was the 106000Q1M no. The others were mercedes benz and reanault kadjar, must be same part. £118 from Europe or £60 China.

Must've been upgraded then for a known failure.
If your going to keep your car might pay to change the housing for the newer one at the next service

Doesn't seem to be a major problem as lots of qashqais now and various renaults fitted with this engine. Once it cracks and blows you'll never know if it's been plastic failure or the thermostat itself stuck and somehow the heat build up burst the housing pure conjecture of course. Some plastic pipe...

The renault 1300 tce engine is also the same. As fitted to kadjars and other Renault cars. I presume thermostat housings are the same.

I wouldve thought by the time you buy all the parts you could probably get a decent lower mileage full engine on the bay. You might wait ages as well for parts for the engine and come across loads of difficulties. Up to you . Don't know about the engine probably best to drop the whole front suffrage...
