Re: Hello. First QQ arriving shortly

It’s just something silly I do to be sure it works EVERY time.
I’m sure it’s just superstitious nonsense - when you get your car you can work it out for yourself

Re: Hello. First QQ arriving shortly

I don’t think it’s entirely true but others say differently. In my car I use an generic cable - it's a black braided cable, hopefully more robust as it’s always in the car, permanently plugged into the USB socket in the armrest. Also - I start the car, pick up the phone, unlock the phone, plug the c...

It doesn’t come with mats - I had to haggle for mine. It doesn’t have an SD card slot, you can tether to your home WiFi for software or map updates - or have those done annually at service. You cannot programme the key. It doesn’t have puddle lights. Halogen lights, not bright enough in my humble op...

Re: Considering a QashQai, after some advice and honest comments.

I had the 1.5 diesel. It was quiet (certainly in comparison to my old RAV4 diesel) and very economical, especially on long motorway runs. I never had a single problem w.r.t. reliability - nearly 30,000 trouble free miles. I can’t comment on how suitable it might be w.r.t. clean air zones but I imagi...

No, it doesn’t.
And furthermore I agree with some of the comments on the linked Mercedes forum in that I see no delay in starting off from stationary.

Re: Start / stop, chassis system, red engine light ect

It looks suspiciously like the dreaded failing battery problem.
However, I’m extremely non-technical.
Someone with more knowledge will be along soon.
Good Luck

Thank you MikeGC for the information, can these bulbs be just swapped, plug and play or are there adaptors involved? Straight swap but mine were done by a nimble fingered young mechanic who played at my rugby club. He didn’t say it was awkward and it didn’t take long, and only cost me a few pints.

Now I have thought about it the headlights in the Juke weren’t tip-top either.
They were improved using some Phillips bulbs IIRC - it’s unfortunate that there’s a need to change the headlights on a new car but "safety first"

Can’t help, sorry, I have the Tekna version with LED headlights. My previous QQ had adequate headlights but I upgraded to Osram night breaker bulbs which improved things (although they came 3rd in an auto express test - https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product-group-tests/76760/best-car-headlight-bulbs...
