Re: Air Con Recharge Frequency Question
Unless they degrade or fail to function no gassing is required. Sounds as though there is a leak within the cabin which indicates a problem with the evaporator. The gassing process requires a vacuum test for leaks. The Aircon system must hold that vacuum for a specified time frame before gassing can...

Re: Stop/Start fuse....?
The answer to the original question is no. The Stop/Start system is both manual and automatically controlled. Manual is the button press. Auto is computer controlled to make simple decisions based on various car electrical conditions until Stop is manually pressed or computing decides you are burnin...

Re: Nissan Connect problems
I think I have to state that my near 2 year old QQ (12k miles) now causes me slight concern as regards the ICE unit. Yesterday the unit failed to boot on engine start and remained with the daft Nissan logo showing. No pressing buttons or gear shifting moved it on. Just an engine shutdown and re-star...

Re: Going electric? Here’s our guide to buying a used Nissan Leaf
8 secs to 50 mph is slightly better than my 1.6 QQ. And of course no gear changes. I won't be going back to that thing though...be too difficult to get in/out of.....
The original 12v battery was under the back seat...circumstances various could get you a pretty warm back seat ...

Re: Stop/Start fuse....?
I certainly don't care for it and apart from stress on the Battery. I found that it quite often caused/contributed to engine stalls where I had dropped into neutral, foot off clutch and brakes in auto hold. Mine kicks in surprisingly quick under those conditions. I am obliviously too fast for it (ha...

Re: Going electric? Here’s our guide to buying a used Nissan Leaf
Thats it Dave...I had not looked closely. Just trying to imagine my 1955 oval window getting up to 60 mph in less than 5 secs. The interior heating will be better? Then there are the Busses and Variant types. Likely difficult for the Variant types because that is a true flat engine as with Porche. I...

Re: Going electric? Here’s our guide to buying a used Nissan Leaf
Saw some of that last week Dave...China leaping away with e-car production. Helpful when you have your clampers on the rare earth materials required. I've seen with Tesla cars that some of the electronics is Made In England which gives us a chance if it actually is and not to/fro to China. Just need...
