Re: Stop/Start System Fault

That's good to know...car is in for it's MOT and service at the end of this month so hopefully the garage can do something. ... One things for sure...the error codes (DTCs) that may have existed prior to Batt change or perhaps those created by a Batt change have to be cleared at Batt installation. ...

Re: Multiple intermittent warning lights

Thanks for the response we have had it plugged in at a garage but we didn’t get the codes. The garage just told us they couldn’t determine what the problem was and recommended we see an engine management specialist. ... I think a Nissan dealer would be advisable. The fault you report here should ha...

Re: Multiple intermittent warning lights

Has anybody attempted to get the Error Codes (DTCs) off the car.

May not be Battery problem..possibly Power Distribution (IPDM). But guessing without an accurate steer from DTCs

Re: 1.6 petrol qashqai failed emissions 3rd year in a row

I've seen something similar on my 6Cyl BMW some years back. Intermittent over fuel, so very occasionally it would be reluctant to start. At an MOT I watched the MOT tail pipe sensor being inserted and as the engine ran I think it over fuelled briefly. That event saturated their gas sensor requiring ...

Re: Oxygen sensor location

Should do because its essential for correct combustion....in all engines

Look along the whole exhaust system for a short cylindrical object (sensor) with 2 or 3 electrical wires attached. Go from exhaust manifold to last 2 foot toward tail pipe.

Re: 1.6 petrol qashqai failed emissions 3rd year in a row

This is extreme really and requires you call Nissan Customer Services and/or local Trading Standards.

The failure relates to faulty combustion and/or faulty exhaust control system. Simple stuff

Is this car consuming fuel in a reasonable way...somewhere in the 35mpg range? No smoke from exhaust?

Re: NSF window issue, help/advice sought.

The Fan has a digital controller. Which is basically a semiconductor array with heat sink in a module. Is easily changed and is often thought on this site to be the cause of such fan problems. However, other electrical problems may exist...like wiring and power supply. They likely suffer excess heat...

tried lock and unlock but failed to unlock the door, had to use internal handle
...

Its difficult to determine the fault. It is an actuator driven from the BCM via wiring of course. Would need to check the actuator and which requires the door card off.
