Re: J10 Help Clearing DPF - Any Advice
Only accurate way to know if the vehicle can clean the DPF is by getting your hands on a scan tool that can read how much soot the ecu has calculated that is within the dpf, also in the j10s case how many failed regens. If its over 60g it won't regen even with scan tool it will require removing and ...

Re: 2016 Qashqai DiG-T N-Connecta. Cylinder 3 Misfire Replicated Under Conditions
Next step would be to do a cylinder leakage test, depending on the kit you can get your hands on will depend how you do it, pressurising the cylinder whilst at top dead centre at the end of compression/start or combustion would have the valves closed and then checking for any leakages. That's where ...

Re: Strange thumping / clicking noise coming from Engine
This is not timing chain issue and it is not necessarily a fault, the turbo bypass solenoid circuit has no way of preventing back EMF so when the solenoid is released instead of just moving back it is powered back in reverse and makes the noise. Easily sorted by putting in a diode between the 2 wire...

Re: Aircon fault code B24A9 - sunlight sensor
This fault code is set when the sunlight sensor puts out a signal for a lack in sunlight. Usually in a workshop there is not sunlight so when we read the dtc's it the workshop it will be there if you drive it out in to the daylight and then re read the code will go past Basically this fault is in al...

Pretty sure it does this if it thinks the bonnet is left open, try unplugging the bonnet switch then locking it see if it still beeps

Re: Bypass Resistor
The resistor issues have been sorted there is a new part number available which supersedes the faulty one and I can confirm that the part works, unsure about any availability issues though

Re: Timing Chain 2015 Qashqai needs replacing HELP
Has it run with lack of oil ? Have you had to top it more than 1 litre at a time since last timing chain done? You can just replace tensioner but the stretch can be checked by measuring the piston protrusion of the chain tensioner. (Usually old one is seized so may have to unsieze it in vice or just...

Re: Alternator Not Charging Battery HELP
They suffer with bad ground cables from battery to gearbox if you have a bad ground cable with high resistance then it ain't going to charge the battery and sometimes won't start even with a good battery. Check if you have any excess of voltage between battery negative and engine if you do then it's...

Re: Issue with p16bc-13
I've replaced a few its on back order at the moment though. The -13 after the fault code means its open circuit so it could be the wiring, a resistance check across the thermostat would confirm the thermostat is the cause, I've heard others have found corrosion in the connector but personally I neve...
