Re: Upgrade SD satnav to non-SD satnav
Then yes it is correct for your car Hi Willow5, as you've successfully carried out this upgrade I just wanted to ask if you have the wire gauge to make up the connectors and also if you had to get additional pins for the connectors and what their part numbers are? I've order the parts from Aliexpre...

Re: Upgrade SD satnav to non-SD satnav
Thanks phatboy, that too is my understanding and why I'm wanting to do this upgrade, it'll also help delay the need to upgrade the car. I'm currently in the process of ordering the parts needed

Re: Upgrade SD satnav to non-SD satnav
If you're talking about the production Sat/Nav headunit fitted to 17/67 reg cars (J11b) then those are Connect 3 units that have reliable firmware installed....amazingly. No issues but functionality is minimal as in your pre 2017 J11a. Nothing can be integrated into Nissan J11a/J11b headunits. You ...

Re: Upgrade SD satnav to non-SD satnav
Morning all, this is a very interesting thread and has certainly got me thinking about doing this. I've got the 2017 J11 Qashqai, so it just missed out by about 12 months from having the upgraded Stereo/Sat Nav and the sat nav is something to be desired so Andriod Auto/Car Play would certainly be ex...

Re: What is this connector/plug?
Well, what a mission, plug was a good 10mm short for reaching the socket, then upon closer inspection the cable was pinned behind the clutch pedal plate (attached picture but it's hard to see). Managed to loosen the two bolts, cut a couple cable ties and give it a good yank and it pulled past the pl...

Re: What is this connector/plug?
I've yet to get out and attempt to get the plug in (waiting for little ones bedtime) but doing some searching and reading of the J11 workshop manuals it seems this plug/connecter is for the PTC Heater for anyone curious

Re: What is this connector/plug?
Thanks all, I'll see if I can get it to maneuver into place as the cables didn't seem long enough... wonder what it actually does as it doesn't actually seem to effect the car in any noticeable way?

Re: What is this connector/plug?
Thanks for the reply, I'll have a better look this evening and see if I can get a better picture of the plug hanging down... I just thought it was rather odd to just be dangling and seems no way of stowing it

What is this connector/plug?
Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to assist with identifying this plug that looks like it's disconnected under the drivers side of the dash on my 2017 Qashqai J11? It's just hanging but looks like it should plug into those pins but the cables don't seem to allow it to reach, just seems very odd as...
