Re: Tekna

I have a 69 teckna+ and it has led lights. I use auto dip which I find works really well, only problem is to remember the set the stalk back to dipped when finished, otherwise next time headlights used they are on main beam which is not good at daytime! Unless you keep it on Auto all the time? This...

Re: Amazon Echo Auto

I was given an Alexa Auto for Christmas and was a bit fed up to find that the Qashqai was listed as not being compatible.

However, I have found that it works perfectly, without the aux lead, even simultaneously with CarPlay running Google maps on the screen. I have an iPhone X

Re: Hybrid - Carbon Dioxide Emissions

That's an interesting point, a petrol engine that sits there for months on end not being used! I don't suppose that will do it any good and the petrol goes bad after a while, but I think that takes a year or so. The quoted fuel consumption figures for a PHEV may well be for example 150mpg. This seem...

Re: Hybrid - Carbon Dioxide Emissions

For tax reasons PHEVs will often be the choice for business use with drivers that don't bother charging them so drive continuously on the engine. The fuel consumption of the petrol engine hauling around the dead weight of the battery and motor will be worse than the equivalent standard petrol only c...

Re: Warnings while driving?

I've had a warning triangle flash up accompanied by beep beep usually when the car thinks I'm about to drive into something, at least that is what I think it is after about the tenth time! I find it distracting when you are quite likely in a situation which needs your full attention and cannot quite...

Re: ProPILOT cruise control issues

I forgot to mention what I think is the best reason for having the Intelligent Cruise Control, traffic jams! Most of the time in the heavy traffic stop - start type of jams the ICC does it all for you saving all the footwork! You only have to do something if the car comes to a stop for more than a f...

ProPILOT cruise control issues

I use the adaptive cruise control most of the time on motorways and after about five thousand miles have found a couple of shortcomings. There are three distance settings, adjustable on the steering wheel with the rest of the cruise control settings. I find three is too far away from the car in fron...

Re: Parcel shelf

I must admit the shelf is a bit poor and the method of attachment is dodgy. On the day I took delivery of my car this shelf came off and is stored in the roof of my garage where it will stay until I part with the car. I fold down the rear seats often and find it gets in the way too much for me. My Q...

Re: Berlin QQ Tekna + (Dynamic Paket) ProPilot

My new QQ has the Michelin Pilot tyres and I can confirm they have a very useful profile incorporating a wall that gets thicker towards the rim protecting the wheel from damage. Here's a closer pic of the tyre shoulder and my all-coloured car, please excuse the dirt!
