Re: New Brake Pads - uneven wear

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply.

I've just looked back at my order for the bosch brake pads on carparts4less and they do indeed have chamfers on them! That's a relief.

I will put shims back on to see if that stops the squeeling, yes i did use copper grease.

Thanks again.

Hi all, I installed front brake pads and discs around 4 weeks ago. Since then I have had squeeling upon braking and a burning smell when i get out of the car after commuting 15 miles. Today I took out the brake pads to inspect them and found that they were worn at the top and bottom edge of each pad...

Rear Caliper 17mm Bolts J10

Hi, I need to order a new set of bolts for the rear caliper brackets on my 2013 J10.

They are the 17mm ones, I can't locate them anywhere online?

Does anyone know of a good supplier or part code.

Many thanks

Re: Very Loose/Light steering

Strange, this morning the steering seemed back to normal and has been all day. I omitted going to the garage for now.

I wonder if water/wax could have gotten in somewhere and now it's gone?

The car is going into the garage tomorrow. Does the J10 have different steering modes?

Re: Very Loose/Light steering

Thanks for ypur reply. Yes mine always made a click when turning the wheel full lock, but now it makes a few more clicks. Would there be a problem with the steering wheel strut? Forgot to mention that a couple of times, randomly, i have heard a bleeping warning whilst driving and had no clue as to w...

Very Loose/Light steering

Hi all, Went to an automated car wash a few days ago, since then my steering has become significantly lighter. The car drives fine otherwise. Also, when you turn the steering wheel to full lock you normally hear a click, for the last year or so i get two or three clicks, is this related? 2013 360 PE...
