Re: Air Con Yearly Regas Needed
I believe that my condenser fault too lies with the weld, without inspecting it myself I cannot confirm whether it's a manufacturing defect or a weld that has failed due to use? If this is something that can happen, not being a welder or over technically minded I cannot believe that a weld could po...

Re: Air Con Yearly Regas Needed
Vintage 2017 was the height of the defective condensers installed at production. I used a mobile aircon fitter who was very aware of this QQ problem. He didn't hesitate in removing the condenser for a physical check. Mainly edge weld faults. Re-install wasn't a defective Nissan condenser which bothe...

Re: Cruise Control
Failure of CC to engage is symptomatic of an engine control fault. Hence the engine fault lamp you see. It'll need an examination of any error codes (DTCs) to identify more specifically.
Can we assume this is a diesel engine?

Re: Clutch Pedal Springy
Its certainly not normal. The pedal should travel freely and smoothly down and on return upward. It needs an inspection around the pedal mechanism and its connection with the clutch master cylinder. Do they both operate freely?

Re: Car has stopped
If you suspect a faulty sensor and can prove it...change it. Ensure timing after component change is set correctly of course.

Re: Car has stopped
Its difficult to determine from the errors (DTCs) whether they sign post the original fault or are reporting the state of the engine after the fault occurred. I think they do both so whats the important one? P0340 is a true DTC in diagnostics and truly relates to a camshaft sensor error. That seems ...

Re: Do you think that upgrading to the E-power is worth it ?
Apart from the 140KW total output is the mere fact that somebody (EU is it...again) is seeking mandatory in built speed limiting. This piece of junk fits in beautifully...and as explained by JC not many will be flooring it much. Simply add the said speed limiter (say 50mph max) and all is inefficien...

Re: Has anyone changed their AC expansion valve?
Is this the kind of job that could be taken on by a competent DIY level home mechanic? Or is it more of a specialist job? I don't think its a DIY level job because you'll need to know the procedure to de-gas and store the refrigerant. Plus replacing the Expansion Valve, re-gassing to the correct hi...

Re: Cruise Control Disengaging
Cruise Control is technically known as ASCD. It is controlled by the ECU as pic below. Plenty can go wrong so it will need a visit to Nissan I'd say
