The windscreen rain sensor on my J10 (2012) has three wires - black, brown and purple. Am I correct in thinking the brown wire is the 12V feed and the purple wire is the sensor output?

Hi Anzdaman. Yeah that's right, the plastic cover/splash guard thingy that is fitted at the bottom of the engine bay. There should be - on my J10 anyway - seven hex bolts that hold it in place, but one is missing and the rest are badly corroded.
