I'm not 100% certain but that looks a lot like the Connect system I had in my 2017 Qashqai.
Hopefully you can get confirmation from someone who still has a radio like this and get hold of a manual (pdf or paper)

I can’t answer your question but it seems to me that this engine is known for being a little "fragile", even when it hasn’t been modified.
Obviously, your money so your choice but I wouldn’t want to stress the engine

The colour is a bit naff but might pop up to my dealer for a peak

It’s probably worth checking with your dealer - there may be a boot liner in there already.
Mine certainly has one and I didn’t order it

I thought the Tekna came with the Bose system, my Tekna+ has it as did my 2019 Tekna.
I don’t recognise any particular improvement and would have deleted it from the car, given the chance.

I can’t help, sorry, I believed that they were "plug n play"
If it doesn’t work and you bought from a reputable company, I would hope that they will send you a new card.
