Re: j10 wobbly front end.

Don't know what garages charge, but I replaced my OS front wheel bearing myself. £78 for a good quality bearing plus £12 for an ABS sensor as my old sensor would not come out of the bearing so had to drill it out. Normal spanners but you need a 32 mm socket for the main wheel nut. You need a ball jo...

Re: Front lower Suspension Wishbone Arms

I was hoping someone might come along who has had similar problems and could recommend a 'middle of the road' brand as opposed to the cheap ones.

Re: Front lower Suspension Wishbone Arms

I have changed the anti-roll bar drop links, which I hoped would cure the banging and they were in poor condition. The roll bar bushes left and right seem ok, so I'm down to the wishbones and the top mounts.

Front lower Suspension Wishbone Arms

I want to replace both mine, NS and OS as I have terrible banging when driving on "lumpy" country lanes. The thing is the price variation. I can buy 2 for £68 on FleaBay or pay £168 for two Delphi ones. Are the cheaper (brand unknown) ones not worth it? Can anyone recommend a brand that is...

Re: Qashqai Brake Disc Dust Cover

Thanks Gloucester. When I changed my OS bearing, the ABS sensor (probably never been out) would not move in the hub, so I had to break it to get the old bearing out. I've drilled out the old sensor and have a new one on its way. I know I don't have to dismantle the bearing to fit the new sensor, but...

Re: Qashqai Brake Disc Dust Cover

Further note. A friend of mine told me today he thinks the car would fail its MOT for having badly corroded or non-existant dust covers. Anyone with MOT knowledge know if this is correct.? As I only fitted the new bearing last weekend, and so all bolts etc are in good condition, I am of a mind to fi...

Re: Grinding, whirring noise from front offside

Not sure if the OP has the problem now 'cause it's a few months ago, but I had the same problem and today I fitted a new NAPA wheel bearing on front OS. It cured the problem completely and car runs beautifully now. It can be an ache of a job (mine was) but with plenty Liquid Wrench penetrating oil, ...

Qashqai Brake Disc Dust Cover

Hi, Are these items vital for the general usage of the vehicle? I have just fitted a new front OS wheel bearing and it was only when I got everything apart that I noticed said dust cover is in pretty poor condition. I didn't have time to source one, and I was having enough trouble getting the bearin...

Re: Navigation System problems

Now you are going to think I'm mad. Went to the Set Up, and their is a function, Demo Mode On/Off. It was Off, which is what you'd expect. Switched it to ON, and the map of Alsager came up. Switched it back off again, and now it's forgotten about Bolton, and knows it's at my home. When for a spin an...

Re: Navigation System problems

Thanks once again Gloucester for your treasure trove of information. The arrow does move when I travel; around, but the map always shows Bolton. If I plan a destination, the route instructions it gives are from Bolton, not my location. Tried the factory re-set to delete all information and previous ...
