Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

I've been chasing a delivery date from Nissan Customer Service direct, because the dealer seems to be just as in the dark as I do. A couple of weeks ago, I was told it would be 5-7 months after ordering, then a few days later it was revised to 7-9 months from ordering. After some chasing today, Cust...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

I’ve been responding to Nissan posts on Facebook, and have raised my frustration around cars being available on the main Nissan website whilst customers that had already placed orders were still having to wait. The Nissan Facebook advice was “…contact your dealer, and ask what cars they have, you co...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

I've just had a call from our dealer that we ordered through. Not much news really in terms of an elusive delivery date, but I think he's probably trying to make more of an effort, after I complained to Nissan directly. He did say that he thought Tekna + is being particularly slow. I also got the im...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

Just had an e-mail from Nissan Customer Services confirming that the 5-7 months that I've been quoted is from initial order. So in their words it should be ready March, April, or May if ordered in October.

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

The story continues.....I've just had a call back from someone else in Customer Services, who was much more helpful, sympathetic, and generally useful. Feel much better having talked to someone who seemed to want to sort it out. It seems I need to raise my concerns about being held in a holding patt...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

Well, I've got more information to add, having just spoken to Nissan Customer Services on the phone. Some of you might be interested to hear how it played out. They were pretty useless really, with no bigger picture of the issue, and said they'd contacted the parts department for an estimated delive...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

I think you're right, (some) dealers are just saying anything to buy more time or get you off the phone. The problem is that approach makes the situation much worse. It increases frustration and diminishes confidence in the service offered and brand as a whole. Whilst I'm sympathetic to the root cau...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

Hey Ken, I'm not sure if it's nine months from now, or nine months total. I'm due to hear more within 2 days, as I've raised a complaint with Nissan. Is it too much to have a date that Nissan can stick to? Why are other cars coming through for people that ordered after? What is the criteria for bein...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

Hello all, I just thought I'd share the recent developments in my ongoing wait for a new Qashqai. I ordered a Tekna plus automatic in October, and was told it'd be ready before Christmas, then after Christmas, then February, then 11th March, then 1st April. I've chased today and have now been told t...

Re: Expected delivery and subsequent delays

Hi all, I just thought I'd jump in again on this thread. I ordered a Tekna+ 2 wheel auto mid October last year. Was told when I placed the order that it might arrive just before Christmas (it didn't), and failing that it should be ready for the end of February. I've only had 1 call from the dealer s...
