Re: ABS light after MOT

I've experienced a garage fit 2 under size rear tyres to my BMW. Meaning overall wheel/tyre diameter was smaller. My ABS flagged up at about 25mph. The idiots still flourish I suspect...me too for not noticing. The thing is, we put faith into garages and not many in my experience have been reputabl...

Re: Ignition Key flattens car battery

Great advice above, I had a similar issue with my 330d and it was actually just the battery, I had tests done on the battery which passed absolutely fine, voltage seemed fine but if I left the car ignition on just for a little while the battery would be too dead to crank. Personally I would check fo...

Hello, New to forum. Have a positive report. Complete gearbox failure on 2013 1.6 Tekna CVT. (only 49000 miles and FSH). Nissan Dealer quoted £5400 to replace, with their assistance Nissan agreed contributed approximately 50% of repair as FSH, customer who has bought 4 previous Nissans (from Dealer...

Re: Fuel injector

I thought there was a CONSULT type setup for the injectors but Nissan diagnostics don't show it. However, what we are dealing with here is a closed loop control system: They do measure injector electrical resistance and apart from acquiring the specified injector thats more or less it. As can be ob...

Re: J10 Battery Upgrade?

I know nothing about the J10 charging performance. My J11b played the game of Battery dying off about 2.5 years from new. Changed under warranty and that battery would at times make excursions into approx 10v territory and start. Then it didn't. My 2017 QQ flagged no errors related to power reliabi...

Re: Please help, thick black smoke

Black smoke is unburnt/partially burnt fuel. Its likely a boost leak or possibly a bad sensor like MAF, LAMBDA (02 Sensor) when the engine has started can somebody give it a little rev while you listen at the engine bay for any air noises, if a hose is split or not connected its quite loud tbh. It's...

Re: Fuel injector

Hi all. I have recently replaced my fuel injector on cylinder 1 as I had the code po201. Since replacing the injector my car seems to really roughly start worse than before, and when revving there is a small amount of smoke as if air is escaping. Any help would be great. Cheers While I've not perso...

Re: ABS light after MOT

I'd also be a little strict with the fact this ABS issue occurred only after the MOT, don't pay for there wrong doings! Where the tyres replaced as calnorth is also leading to? If they where replaced or for what ever reason the tyre pressure are now different the rotations of the wheel will be diffe...

Re: Speaker upgrade

Just to chime in for people with the Bose system, if you have an Android phone (rooted) you can use Viper4android over Bluetooth and enable a few EQ settings like Bass and Clarity and its honestly the only way I actually heard the Bose sub from the boot, the bass from it was actually impressive! The...
