Hi guys

Juste subscribed to react on this post which mentions my video. Thanks for sharing the link btw ;)

No offence but the reactions on the video only concerns the duncho's input or opinion! I did my research as well before modding and publishing and spoke about it with my own Nissan garage. Not only do they see no harm. A lot of dutch owners (some of them also present here) did this mod without any problem and so for a long time now. Even some of the Nissan garage holders that are member did this same mod!!

This is I simple and free (!) way to disable. And honestly, I don't have any interest here in selling or advising...
So I would say make up your mind for yourself. :)

Why this mod?
Because it was made to meet the CO2 emission norms but isn't quite healthy for your car battery especially when already doing mostly citydriving with short distances. And as we now; the battery isn't the strongest point on the latest models :roll:

Ps. I'll introduce myself in the wright topic later on (when not on the go) ;)

Hi all, Tried this on my 64 reg qashqai and when I lock the car a loud warning noise occurs and lasts for around a minute, put the sensor back into its normal position and locked car -all back to normal
Any advice on how I can get over this issue as the stop start drives me nuts

Maybe because QQ's for UK have Class 1 Thatcham alarm fitted, which EU mainland ones don't.
Opening bonnet on a UK QQ will trigger alarm if car locked.

Tend to just leave the screen blower on low all the time. Start / stop doesn't kick in untill you turn it off. If its cold it'll blow the heated air over the screen and out into the car, and it its hot it's cold air to keep cool. Stopped in traffic with only the foot brake applied the engine runs unless you turn the blower off. Sthe same with the handbrake.

I know its annoying, thats why i turn it off most of the time. Bjt with a bit of forward planning and watching what the traffic is doing its not that mucb of a pain to be honest. Just lifting your foot a fraction will restart the engine, without releasing the brake. Alternatively, slight pressure on the steering wheel does the same thing.

Hi.
I did the mod as explained but on my car with a keyless system when the car is locked it continues to beep so the alarm is not seeing the bonnet closed,any ideas.

It won't work for you if you are driving UK spec car (Thatcham Class 1 alarm);
pse update your forum signature to show model type/engine/year/your location etc.
