Which engine?

Hi can anyone tell me which engine I have in my qashqai? Using the vin number it says it's a HR16DE engine, but according to the owners manual it appears there's 2 types, type A and type B can anyone confirm please and what's the difference between A and B? Thanks in advance Cheers Chris

Just a guess but has this petrol engine a choice of manual or CVT transmissions? If so, it just might be a difference of installation and engine management to match it to the box.

Hi Quacker possible I suppose, the drawings in the owners manual really don't distinguish between A and B they are identical? As the descriptions are as well 1-9 thanks again for your reply cheers Chris

Just got a reply from Nissan type A engine is euro 4. Type B engine is euro 5, mine is the B engine least I know now! Cheers Chris
