Wiper "Slap"

I have only had my 2010 model Qashqai for a few weeks.
I have noticed that the nearside wiper blade "slaps" the plastic trim at the bottom of the pillar, as if the blade is too long? It doesn't seem to be doing any harm but is so annoying.....
Can anyone throw any light on this? Is it a common thing? Is my nearside blade too long? I notice that suppliers list both 15" & 16" for this side???
