Connect 3 SD Card

Hi guys...

Can anyone with the old Connect 3 system remember if the Main Dealer updated / replaced the SD card as part of the annual service?

Mine has been changed on every service from new but Nissan are now refusing to change it and are saying they have never changed it from day one.

I think I'm currently on version 5 but would like the final version 7 update.

V7 is the last ever sd map card they have released dont think will give you the card free at service get 1 off ebay around £14 works fine too

Cheers pal... I know they have changed the cards in the past because I always checked the version number on the system and on the card, one time they removed my eBay bought one and replaced it with one of their own.

Will try the eBay route again, but the last one I looked at was £29 + vat.

When I bought my new 2017 Qashqai 1.5 replacement SD cards were provided by the dealer when the car was serviced. I can’t remember if this was universal or it was a perk of taking the service plan.
I didn’t get the third one as I traded it before the service was due

Thanks Mike... I knew I wasn't imagining it.

The service chappy insisted I was wrong when I knew I wasn't, it will be an interesting conversation tomorrow when customer service give me the usual call back to see how the annual service went.

They stopped releasing the cards 2yrs ago. The v7 card is from mid 2021. Nissan are not the only 1s ford have started doing the same with the cards

That maybe the case, Andy... last year on the annual service Nissan removed my eBay bought card and replaced it with a V5 card and in the last 5 years I've never had the latest version at the time.

I guess it's the Nissan way, I just would have thought they'd have access to a V7 card to replace the V5.

after a quick look online it looks like a lot of items have been removed from ebay, but grab one from here matey quick delivery and original £30, same as what you get from the dealers but without the £100+ price tag

I remember the free SD card updates on the annual service as being part of the Map Care Program, it's quite laughable that Nissan staff don't know what services Nissan offer, but I suppose that program might have ended now, but the service chappy telling me I'd never had an updated card on the annual service really grated my cheese, especially when he kept forcing home his point.

Anyhoo, Nissan Customer Service called again this morning for my thoughts on how the service and MOT went at Pentagon Barnsley, she soon got the message that'll never use the Barnsley dealer again.

glad you got the card sorted, think map care only ran for 3yrs when they first started it. i`d never pay the price for the dealer service, yep you will get the book stamped etc, but i don`t trust that they have done the jobs i always do my own oil filter changes myself save loads of money
