It's a pretty silly advert anyway, but what did people think the car was powered by if it didn't need to be plugged in and didn't use petrol as clearly albeit briefly stated? One of those new-fangled "nuclear powered batteries for life"?

Its safe to assume that the people making these complaints had no intention of buying the car anyway. If I spent my time complaining about every misleading or tasteless advertisement there would be no time left for living. Were it not a 'green' issue I don't suppose the complaints would have even been considered.
