Aftermarket Head Unit comparison

Hey guys. My first post here. I was wondering if anyone had opinions about installing aftermarket Head units. Would it be better to go with the more expensive 2-din units from Kenwood/JVC etc (the Kenwood DMX8021DABS, for example) or would Dasaita be a better choice? Dasaitas do look a lot better, but I'm skeptical about the processor and RAM. Any help is appreciated.

I am in the process of it now. Android 12, aftermarket head unit. It is all ordered, but i don't have a clue what I'm doing.
I ordered a unit from the internet, and the necessary cabling, my driver is the stupid price to update maps on the LCN1 unit that was in my car when i bought it.
Ill let you know the outcome.

have you got the old one out, are your wiring colours the same as mine ?

I've noticed there are differences in wire colours, between mine QQ and other J10 QQ pictures ive seen on here !

Wow that's scaring me a little. No, I haven't started the process yet. I wanted to get some opinions before I decide. What brand is yours?

I've literally just removed a pioneer SPH-230DAB head with rear camera and all the cabling to connect, I may have a buyer already but if not I'll list it on here.

the connectors I used were the connects2.com ones (https://connects2.com/Product/ProductIt ... UNI-NISSAN iirc) and it meant I just plugged in and drove (no exaggeration), with all the steering wheel controls working, aerial and speakers - the Pioneer was a standard ISO connector.

the only bits i'm not sure on here are the gps and camera - mine was a Acenta with the basic Daewoo stereo so I had to add the camera and DAB aerial...

All finished, head unit installed, installed windscreen DAB aerial on the passenger side, got an adapter of the USB, so the USB in the centre console still works, OEM reversing camera still worked and removed the OEM GPS and fitted the one that came with the head unit. Installed the microphone that came with the unit - all working great.

Farewell to the Nissan connect and the pain in the proverbial MAP update by SD card. Hello to android auto and carplay

Using the DABZ android application for DAB radio.
Using here we go for sat nav

What have i learned

• Chinese manuals are really badly written,

• The wire colours in my car don't match anything anywhere in any document online

• I can use the wiring diagrams in my haynes manual to light the fire cos they aren't any use for the Audio diagrams and i suspect the rest

with all that in mind, i'm off to fit my chinese supplied auto closing wing mirror unit next !!!!
