I discovered this forum while searching about the stuck automatic rear gate on J12. (It doesn't seems to be a known issue by nissan yet but I found how to fix it)

I'm not a Qashqai enthusiast but I work in a Nissan dealership as a technician in france and I thought it would be great to share informations I get while I work on qashqai.

well you need to unplug/replug the rear hatch control unit, which is located behind the left trunk trim.
I don't know the exact reaon of why this issue occurs but the control unit won't command the electric struts even though it receive the switch input
