Hi all,

Hoping someone might be able to assist.

I have 2013 Qashqai+2 with the 1.6 DCI R9M engine, and I have noticed that the battery voltage sits around 11.7 volts even once the engine is warm and all ancillarys are off.

Strangely when monitoring the voltage on the infotainment secret menu, when the engine is on overrun (slowing down) the charge voltage shoots up to between 14 and 15 volts. As soon as I drive, the voltage drops back to 11.7 volts.

Is this normal behaviour? I wasn't sure if it was an emissions control smart alternator type of thing.

I only ask as the Airbag SRS warning light has started flashing on the dashboard and I am unsure if it is linked.

The car had a new battery about a year ago before I bought the car as the previous owner had charging issues. Since owning the car I have put new glow plugs in it as two had failed which threw a warning code. That has now gone but I now have the airbag issue.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.
