A ball join which forms part of the front suspension on my 2012 Qashqai has become dislocated (pics included for reference).

Is it possible for me to simply reattach this and if so what's the best way to go about getting the rubber boot back over the joint?

For it to pop off like that something must be missing. Have a look at the otherside. It may be time to replace them both 😉

It should be attached to the anti roll bar drop link, the bar vertically next to it. Get them replaced, not expensive do both sides. It does look as though it hasn't been attached for some time, it will quieten down your suspension rattle as well.

I replaced one of ours as it had play in it which was picked up on an MOT. It was an easy DIY job and the replacement part was about £20 (ordered online).
