Hi All,
I need to repair my internal sunroof, I started the work, got the headline out then found I have an issue, the side airbags are also attached the the sunroof frame.
I need to know how I can safely remove the side airbags.
Can anyone help me out here, I have been quoted over 1k to do the work and I’m not paying that.
Parts are come from Germany soon to repair the track, if that doesn’t work I will get a second hand sunroof from eBay

Welcome to this forum.
That's not an issue I can recall anyone having previously.
There are one or two on here qualified to assist.

Any time you touch any airbag - you need to disconnect the battery .
Then wait a period of time - for BMW it used to be 30 minutes.
Handle the airbags with care and keep away from sources of electricity or magnetic fields.
Ideally the removed airbags should be stored in a secure cage in case they ignite.
