I am new on here I just wanted to get some feedback on a knocking type noise I am getting from my engine area it’s a Nissan quashqai j11 2015 1.2 automatic.
It happens when I’m in park I accelerate let it go then it makes the knocking sound i can make it happen every time I rev the car even when I’m driving. I have a video of the sound but I can’t post it on here

Unfortunately you have the worst possible reliability combination - the 1.2 engine with the CVT. Check out the relevant topics.
That said I can't remember anyone reporting exactly the circumstance you're experiencing though.
Might be best to ring https://www.stephensengineering.co.uk/n ... on-repair/ and talk it through. They're going to be more experienced than anyone on here.

I experienced something similar but mine only occurs between 1000-2000 rpm. Haven't yet found the culprit. Waiting for the winter for it to emerge again and record a video.
